  The senior assistant legislative clerk read the nomination of John L. 
Sinatra, Jr., of New York, to be United States District Judge for the 
Western District of New York.
  The PRESIDING OFFICER. The question is, Will the Senate advise and 
consent to the Sinatra nomination?
  Mr. GARDNER. Mr. President, I ask for the yeas and nays.

  There appears to be a sufficient second.
