                         MESSAGE FROM THE HOUSE

  At 9:48 a.m., a message from the House of Representatives, delivered 
by Mr. Novotny, one of its reading clerks, announced that the House has 
passed the following bills:

       H.R. 722. An act to designate a mountain in the State of 
     Utah as ``Miracle Mountain''.
       H.R. 2548. An act to modify eligibility requirements for 
     certain hazard mitigation assistance programs, and for other 
     purposes.
       H.R. 2726. An act to amend title 49, United States Code, to 
     prohibit smoking on Amtrak trains.
       H.R. 3530. An act to amend title 38, United States Code, to 
     direct the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to enforce the 
     licensure requirements for medical providers of the 
     Department of Veterans Affairs.
       H.R. 4183. An act to direct the Comptroller General of the 
     United States to conduct a study on disability and pension 
     benefits provided to members of the National Guard and 
     members of reserve components of the Armed Forces by the 
     Department of Veterans Affairs, and for other purposes.
       H.R. 4719. An act to amend the Federal share of the fishing 
     safety standards grants.
