                               MEMORIALS

  Under clause 3 of rule XII, memorials were presented and referred as 
follows:

       51. The SPEAKER presented a memorial of the Senate of the 
     State of Tennessee, relative to Senate Joint Resolution No. 
     192, to express support for the enactment of legislation that 
     requires all board committee meetings of the Tennessee Valley 
     Authority Board of Directors to be open to the public; to the 
     Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure.
       52. Also, a memorial of the House of Representatives of the 
     State of Michigan, relative to House Resolution No. 81, 
     urging the Congress of the United States to speedily approve 
     the recently negotiated United States-Mexico-Canada 
     Agreement; to the Committee on Ways and Means.
       53. Also, a memorial of the Legislature of the State of 
     Louisiana, relative to House Concurrent Resolution No. 20, to 
     memorialize the United States Congress to take such actions 
     as are necessary to review and consider eliminating 
     provisions of federal law which reduce Social Security 
     benefits for those receiving pension benefits from federal, 
     state, and local government retirement or pension systems, 
     plans, or funds; to the Committee on Ways and Means.
