 ========================= END NOTE =========================

  As a new Member of Congress, this marked the first time I have had

  Madam Speaker, the men and women from Honor Flight of Middle
Tennessee exemplify the greatness of the United States. Though we can
never fully repay them for their service to our country, it was my
privilege to offer our most sincere gratitude for the sacrifices they
made on behalf of the Sixth District of Tennessee.
  I would also like to extend a special ``thank you'' to the local
communities and volunteers who worked together to make this special
visit possible. I would especially like to thank Claude Morse (USAF
Ret.), the President and Chairman of the Board for Honor Flight of
Middle Tennessee, for his tireless work organizing this event. Without
this team, the Honor Flight would not have been possible.
  To my colleagues here today, I hope you will join me in thanking
these veterans and their families for their dedication and service to
our country.
