Committee on Appropriations: Committee ordered favorably reported the 
following business items:
  An original bill (S. 2470) making appropriations for energy and water 
development and related agencies for the fiscal year ending September 
30, 2020;
  An original bill (S. 2474) making appropriations for the Department 
of Defense for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2020; and
  302(b) subcommittee allocations of budget outlays and new budget 
authority allocated to the committee in H. Con. Res. 71, establishing 
the congressional budget for the United States Government for fiscal 
year 2018 and setting forth the appropriate budgetary levels for fiscal 
years 2019 through 2027.
Committee on Armed Services: Committee concluded a hearing to examine 
the nominations of Ryan McCarthy, of Illinois, to be Secretary of the 
Army, and Barbara McConnell Barrett, of Arizona, to be Secretary of the 
Air Force, who was introduced by Senator McSally, both of the 
Department of Defense, after the nominees testified and answered 
questions in their own behalf.
Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs: Committee concluded a 
hearing to examine developments in global insurance regulatory and 
supervisory forums, after receiving testimony from Steven E. Seitz, 
Director, Federal Insurance Office, Department of the Treasury; Thomas 
Sullivan, Associate Director, Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve 
System; and Eric A. Cioppa, Maine Bureau of Insurance, Augusta, on 
behalf of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners.
Select Committee on Intelligence: Committee held closed hearings on 
intelligence matters, receiving testimony from officials of the 
intelligence community.
