           MESSAGE FROM THE HOUSE RECEIVED DURING ADJOURNMENT


                          Enrolled Bill Signed

  Under the authority of the order of the Senate of January 3, 2019, as 
modified by the order of January 16, 2020, the Secretary of the Senate, 
on January 21, 2020, during the adjournment of the Senate, received a 
message from the House of Representatives announcing that the Speaker 
had signed the following enrolled bill:

       H.R. 5430. An act to implement the Agreement between the 
     United States of America, the United Mexican States, and 
     Canada attached as an Annex to the Protocol Replacing the 
     North American Free Trade Agreement.

  Under the authority of the order of the Senate of January 3, 2019, as 
modified by the order of January 16, 2020, the Secretary of the Senate, 
on January 21, 2020, during the adjournment of the Senate, received a 
message from the House of Representatives announcing that the House had 
passed the following joint resolution, in which it requests the 
concurrence of the Senate:

       H.J. Res. 76. Joint resolution providing for congressional 
     disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, 
     of the rule submitted by the Department of Education relating 
     to ``Borrower Defense Institutional Accountability''.

  Under the authority of the order of the Senate of January 3, 2019, as 
modified by the order of January 16, 2020, the Secretary of the Senate, 
on January 21, 2020, during the adjournment of the Senate, received a 
message from the House of Representatives announcing that pursuant to 
15 U.S.C. 1024(a), and the order of the House of January 3, 2019, the 
Speaker appointed the following Member on the part of the House of 
Representatives to the Joint Economic Committee: Mrs. Carolyn B. 
Maloney of New York, to rank after Mr. Beyer of Virginia.
