                                 PRAYER

  Reverend Steven Liscinsky, L.C., Sacred Heart Apostolic School, 
Rolling Prairie, Indiana, offered the following prayer:
  In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
  Almighty and living God, we turn our hearts to You and ask Your 
blessing upon this House and upon our Nation.
  We thank You for the gifts You have endowed upon us, above all 
inalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
  Watch over our Nation. Protect us from those who wish us harm. Dispel 
the forces of division and hatred that drive us apart. Bring us 
together in the pursuit of our common good and in solidarity with all 
peoples. Unite us in the task of protecting our common heritage, this 
wonderful creation that You have made for us.
  Guide our decisions by the light of Your divine wisdom and prudence 
that this world may overflow with Your peace, justice, and love.
  We ask all this in Your holy name and for Your glory.
  Amen.
