        IN RECOGNITION OF THE 100TH BIRTHDAY OF PHIL SANGUINETTI

  Mr. ROGERS of Alabama. Madam Speaker, I ask for the House's attention 
to recognize the 100th birthday of Phil Sanguinetti.
  Mr. Sanguinetti was born in 1920 in Norfolk, Virginia. He graduated 
from Virginia Tech in 1942 and received a master's degree from the 
University of Tennessee in 1948. He was a chemist at Monsanto from 1942 
to 1954, and director of technical sales at Mobay Chemical Company from 
1954 to 1962. He married Elise Ayers in 1950.
  He began working at The Anniston Star in 1962 as national advertising 
manager. He was later named business manager, vice president and in 
1973 named president of the company.
  He has held leadership positions with International House at 
Jacksonville State University and Anniston Community Theater. He has 
also been active at Grace Episcopal Church.
  Madam Speaker, please join me in recognizing Mr. Sanguinetti, his 
contributions and dedication to the Anniston area and wishing him a 
very happy 100th birthday.
