                               MEMORIALS

  Under clause 3 of rule XII,

       168. The SPEAKER presented a memorial of the Senate of the 
     State of New Jersey, relative to Senate Resolution 16, urging 
     the Congress to propose an Amendment to the United States 
     Constitution to prohibit the use of slavery or indentured 
     servitude for individuals convicted of crime; which was 
     referred to the Committee on the Judiciary.
