                COMMUNICATION FROM THE SERGEANT AT ARMS

  The SPEAKER pro tempore laid before the House the following 
communication from the Sergeant at Arms of the House of 
Representatives:

     Speaker, House of Representatives,
     Washington, DC.
       Dear Madam Speaker: Pursuant to section 1(a) of House 
     Resolution 965, following consultation with the Office of 
     Attending Physician, I write to notify you of an ongoing 
     public health emergency due to a novel coronavirus. The 
     public health emergency in effect is caused by the novel 
     coronavirus SARS-CoV-2.

                ANNOUNCEMENT BY THE SPEAKER PRO TEMPORE

  The SPEAKER pro tempore. The Chair announces the Speaker's

section 1(a) of House Resolution 965.
