                                 PRAYER

  The Chaplain, the Reverend Patrick J. Conroy, offered the following 
prayer:
  Lord, Father of us all, we thank You for giving us another day.
  As the numbers of new coronavirus infections remain high throughout 
the Nation, we ask Your blessing and protection on those caring for the 
sick. We ask Your healing power to come upon those who are stricken. 
May their recoveries be swift.
  We ask Your blessing on all those who labor in the work of the 
people's House here at the Capitol, and back in the 435 districts of 
this country. The needs of our citizens are persistent and growing. 
Bless those who seek to find solutions with wisdom and understanding.
  Lord, have mercy.
  May all that is done be for Your greater honor and glory.
  Amen.
