                       Tuesday, September 1, 2020

Mr. RYAN. Madam Speaker, I rise today to honor the life of Robert
Eugene Heltzel, Jr., of Pepper Pike, Ohio, who passed away on August
17, 2020, at the age of 73.
Bob was born on January 22, 1947, in Warren, Ohio. He was the second
eldest of seven children and attended St. Stephen's Elementary School
in Niles, Ohio. Bob ``Robbo'' was a 1965 graduate of Gilmour Academy in
Gates Mills, OH. The friendships he made there remained a source of
strength and joy for him his entire life.
In 1972, Bob married Heidi, the love of his life. They settled in
Warren, OH, where they raised their five daughters. Bob was an active
member of his community, generous benefactor, and tireless
entrepreneur.
Bob founded Kenilworth Steel Company in 1981 where he served as CEO
and President until his retirement in 2006 and remained a consultant
until 2009. He dedicated almost 30 years of his life to establishing a
thriving business driven by his desire to serve his family and the
families of his employees.
A lifelong lover of the game of golf, Bob dedicated several years to
coaching not only family members, but the men's golf team at John F.
Kennedy high school in Warren, Ohio. Bob led the team to the State
Tournament and became State Champions in 2001-2002. He was inducted
into the Coaches Hall of Fame for his role as coach in 2014. Bob passed
on his passion for golf to his five daughters and enjoyed endless
spirited rounds with his sons-in-law, grandchildren, and dear friends.
Bob was the loving husband of Heidi Heltzel (nee Browning) and
devoted father of Jennifer Farrior (Julian) of Boulder, CO, Katie
Ricotti (fiance Rocco DiPuccio) of University Heights, OH, Maggie
Schumacher (Brett) of University Heights, OH, Robin Heltzel of
Pittsburgh, PA, and Erin Moore (Tim) of Cleveland, OH. He was the proud
grandfather of Robert and Leo Ricotti, Marley and James Farrior, Izzy
and Andy Schumacher, and Elizabeth and Charlie Moore. He is preceded in
death by his parents, Robert Eugene Heltzel, Sr. and Mary Jane Heltzel
(nee Hazzard), and brothers Paul and Mark Heltzel.
Mr. Heltzel was the recipient of many honors throughout his life, but
I have no doubt his greatest was being the husband to Heidi and the
father and grandfather to his children and grandchildren. My deepest
sympathies go out to Bob's family and to all whose lives he touched.
