                            PETITIONS, ETC.

  Under clause 3 of rule XII, petitions and papers were laid on the 
clerk's desk and referred as follows:

       126. The SPEAKER presented a petition of the City of Miami, 
     Florida, relative to Resolution R-20-0187, urging the United 
     States Congress to designate June 19th of every year as 
     ``Juneteenth Independence Day'' a legal federal holiday in 
     recognition of June 19, 1865, the date on which news of the 
     end of slavery reached the Black people being held as slaves 
     in the Southwestern States; which was referred to the 
     Committee on Oversight and Reform.
       127. Also, a petition of the City Commission of Key West, 
     Florida, relative to Resolution No. 20-113, urging the United 
     States Congress to designate June 19th as ``Juneteenth 
     Independence Day'', a Federal Holiday to be recognized each 
     year; which was referred to the Committee on Oversight and 
     Reform.
       128. Also, a petition of Mr. Gregory Watson, a citizen of 
     Austin, TX, relative to a petition in opposition to the 
     admission into the Union of any new State comprised of 
     territory which did not possess statehood status on December 
     31, 2019, and urging that the only lands upon which statehood 
     status may be conferred in the future be areas carved out of 
     existing States; which was referred to the Committee on 
     Natural Resources.
       129. Also, a petition of the Township Council of Berkeley 
     Township, NJ, relative to Resolution 2020-208-R, supporting 
     the enactment of the Security After Sandy Act; 
     Infrastructure, Financial Services, and Small Business.; 
     which was referred jointly to the Committees on 
     Transportation and Infrastructure, Financial Services, and 
     Small Business.
