                         MESSAGE FROM THE HOUSE

  At 11:10 a.m., a message from the House of Representatives, delivered 
by Mr. Novotny, one of its reading clerks, announced that the House has 
passed the following bill, in which it request the concurrence of the 
Senate:

       H.R. 7573. An act to direct the Joint Committee on the 
     Library to replace the bust of Roger Brooke Taney in the Old 
     Supreme Court Chamber of the United States Capitol with a 
     bust of Thurgood Marshall to be obtained by the Joint 
     Committee on the Library and to remove certain statues from 
     areas of the United States Capitol which are accessible to 
     the public, to remove all statues of individuals who 
     voluntarily served the Confederate States of America from 
     display in the United States Capitol, and for other purposes.

  The message further announced that the House has agreed to the 
amendment of the Senate to the bill (H.R. 2486) to reauthorize 
mandatory funding programs for historically Black colleges and 
universities and other minority-serving institutions, with amendments, 
in which it requests the concurrence of the Senate.


                          Enrolled Bill Signed

       The message also announced that the Speaker has signed the 
     following enrolled bill:

       H.R. 1957. An act to amend title 54, United States Code, to 
     establish, fund and provide for the use of amounts in a 
     National Parks and Public Land Legacy Restoration Fund to 
     address the maintenance backlog of the National Park Service, 
     the United States Fish and Wildlife Service, the Bureau of 
     Land Management, the Forest Service, and the Bureau of Indian 
     Education, and to provide permanent, dedicated funding for 
     the Land and Water Conservation Fund, and for other purposes.

  The enrolled bill was subsequently signed by the President pro 
tempore (Mr. Grassley).
